About us

Methodist Health System is a nonprofit healthcare organization established in 1927 in Dallas, Texas. Originally founded by Methodist ministers and civic leaders, it has expanded into a comprehensive health system with 13 hospitals and numerous clinics, serving over one million people in the region. The system offers a wide range of medical services, including trauma care, organ transplantation, neonatal intensive care, and critical care. Methodist Dallas Medical Center, its flagship facility, is recognized for its Level I Trauma Center and advanced transplant programs. Additionally, the organization sponsors CareFlite, an air and ground ambulance service, to enhance emergency response. Methodist Health System is dedicated to providing both inpatient and outpatient care, specialty services, and community health initiatives.
