Samaritan Health Services is a nonprofit regional health system based in Corvallis, Oregon, serving over 290,000 residents in Benton, Lincoln, and Linn counties. Founded in 1997 through the merger of Mid-Valley Healthcare and Samaritan Inc., it operates as an integrated healthcare network that includes community hospitals, physician clinics, and health insurance plans. The system comprises five hospitals, including critical access facilities, and numerous physician clinics that offer outpatient care and specialty services. Samaritan also provides urgent care through dedicated clinics and health insurance plans under the name Samaritan Health Plans. In partnership with Western University of Health Sciences, it established the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in 2011, enhancing medical education in the region. Samaritan Health Services is committed to improving community health and expanding access to quality healthcare for both urban and rural populations.
