About us

The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC) is a 414-bed, acute-care community teaching hospital and Level-III Trauma Center located in New Britain and Southington, Connecticut. Established in 2006 through the merger of New Britain General and Bradley Memorial hospitals, THOCC serves as a vital healthcare provider for over 260,000 residents in the greater New Britain area, including surrounding communities. THOCC offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, general medicine, behavioral health, cancer treatment, and specialized programs in cardiology, obstetrics, and diabetes management. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and participates in various residency programs. Recognized for its quality care, THOCC has received awards for its heart attack treatment and is committed to improving healthcare access for diverse populations, including underserved groups. With a dedicated staff of approximately 2,400 and a medical team of over 350 physicians, THOCC plays a crucial role in community health and education.
